Privacy notice
This page explains how Calm Mail handles your messages and the limits of the service.
What the AI can and cannot do
AI can make mistakes. The calmer version is there to make a difficult email easier to read. It is not a transcript and does not replace the original email.
Calm Mail does not decide who is telling the truth. It does not diagnose abuse, give legal advice, confirm that a message is safe, or produce a certified record.
What happens to the original email
We save the complete original email exactly as it arrived, including messages held away from the main inbox. If you open an original, that action is added to your account history.
Information is retained in line with the retention policy and any legal duties that apply. An account deletion request starts the deletion-review process.
If somebody is in immediate danger
Do not rely only on this mailbox in an emergency. Contact the appropriate emergency service or a qualified professional who can help immediately.
What is sent to the AI service
Only the smallest amount of message text needed to make the calmer version is sent to the separate AI service. The complete email file and its attachments are not sent to the AI.
